Urine Post Set
A canine-specific set capitalizing on the territorial marking instincts of foxes and coyotes.

Where to Set
How to Build It
- 1Locate or place a prominent post along a known travel route.
- 2Dig a trap bed 6 to 8 inches away from the post, ensuring the bed is just deep enough so the set trap sits slightly below ground level.
- 3Securely anchor the trap into the bed and pack dirt firmly around the jaws so it does not wobble when stepped on.
- 4Sift dry dirt or peat moss over the trap, blending it smoothly with the surrounding terrain.
- 5Apply 5 to 10 drops of gland lure to the base of the post and a generous squirt of urine about 6 inches up the post.

Safety & Legal
Always affix a metal identification tag to your trap chain as required by most state laws. Adjust pan tension to 2-3 pounds to avoid catching non-target species like small domestic pets or birds. Ensure daily trap checks are conducted in accordance with local regulations to allow for safe, ethical dispatch or release.
