How does a blood trail search grid work?

When the trail goes cold at last blood, Search Grid fans the ground ahead into colored sections, either toward the deer's direction of travel or as a full circle. You hand one section to each buddy so no ground gets searched twice and none gets skipped.

Can my hunting buddies see where I am during a recovery?

Yes. With Crew Locations on, everyone on the search can see where every searcher is standing, live on the map. Helpers' walked paths draw as they go, so you can see exactly what ground has been covered.

Can helpers mark blood they find?

Yes. Anyone you share the trail with can drop blood, hair/sign and bed marks in their section color. The trail owner sees each find as it happens and can add it to the main trail with one tap.

How long should I wait before tracking a deer?

It depends on the hit. Snap a photo of the blood and the AI blood read gives you a take on the likely hit and a suggested wait time. Pushing a liver or gut-shot deer too soon is one of the most common reasons deer are lost.

Does it work without cell service?

Saved map areas stay available offline, and your marks save to the trail. Live crew locations and helpers' live finds need a signal to share with each other.

Do I need to download anything?

No. It runs in your phone's browser, and you can add it to your home screen so it works like an app on iPhone and Android.
