How To Tie / Assemble

1Select a flipping jig ranging from 3/8 oz to 1 oz based on cover density.
2Thread a craw or creature-style plastic trailer onto the jig hook, ensuring it is straight to prevent line spin.
3Secure the trailer with a drop of super glue at the collar to keep it from sliding during heavy hooksets.
4Pass the tag end of your main line through the eye of the jig hook.
5Wrap the line around the shank of the hook 5-6 times moving away from the eye.
6Pass the tag end back through the eye of the hook and pull tight to secure the Snell knot.
7Trim the tag end closely to ensure a weedless profile.

How To Use It

Pitch or flip the jig to specific targets like dock pilings, laydowns, or weed mats. Let the bait fall on a semi-slack line to maintain a natural descent. Once it hits the bottom or the cover, pulse the rod tip slightly to move the skirt and trailer, then lift and drop into the next pocket. Set the hook hard the moment you feel a 'tick' or weight change.

The Snell knot allows the hook to stand upright during the retrieve, which optimizes the hookup ratio when pulling the lure out of dense vegetation.

Best Conditions

Spring through Fall in stained to clear water; most effective during low-light hours or when bass are retreating into heavy shade or vegetation to escape the sun.
