Ambassador Program

The Ambassador Handbook

Everything spelled out in one place — what we ask of you, what you get, and exactly how you earn it. No fine print, no guessing.

Section 1

What we expect each month

You pick a track — Hunting, Fishing, or Both — and each month you get 8 goals built around that track. They're all things you're likely doing anyway: hunting, fishing, running cameras, mapping ground, telling stories.

  • Work your goals whenever it suits you during the month — there's no schedule.
  • When a goal is done, tap "Log it" on your dashboard. Some log automatically from what you did in the app.
  • We verify logged goals (usually within a few days) and your points post.
  • Goals reset on the 1st of each month. Unfinished goals don't carry over.
  • Missing a month doesn't remove you from the program — it just pauses your streak.

Honest expectation: most ambassadors finish their goals in 3–5 hours of normal use across a month.

Section 2

The goals, point by point

Every goal is worth a fixed number of points, and the checklist grows with you. Your first 3 months run the Rookie goals — they teach the platform. From month 4 on you move up to Veteran goals: more videos, a Hunt Story, and two featured tools each month that we ask you to demo on camera. A full Rookie hunting-track month is 110 points; Veteran goals are worth more because they take more.

This month's featured tools (hunting track): Hunting Pressure Map and Blood Trail Tracker. They rotate on the 1st so every tool on the platform gets covered over the year.

Your dashboard shows the goals for your tier and track only, each with step-by-step instructions and a direct link to the tool.

Section 3

How store credit works

This is the part people ask about most, so here it is plainly: the store credit is a one-time $50, not a monthly payout.

  • It's a one-time $50 credit — not monthly. Every ambassador can earn it once.
  • It unlocks once all of your monthly goals are verified inside the same calendar month.
  • It posts starting in your second month — your welcome pack covers month one.
  • Credit posts automatically once your activities are verified — nothing to claim.
  • Spend it at checkout on anything in the shop: apparel, Harvest Tags, StopBox gear.
  • It applies to your order total before shipping and tax, and it never expires.
  • You can split it across multiple orders — whatever's left stays on your balance.

You'll see it on your dashboard as a locked card with your progress, and it flips to an available balance the moment you finish a full month. At checkout you'll get a checkbox to apply it to your order.

Section 3b

Cash commissions & payouts

On top of store credit, you earn real cash: 10% of every Harvest Tag sale that comes through you. The buyer saves 10% too.

  • Code sales: anyone who buys tags with your code, or arrives through your link or card QR, gets 10% off and you get 10% of what they pay. They don't need an account.
  • Referred members: members who joined through your code get 10% off tags for 12 months after they sign up, and you earn on every tag order they place in that time, with or without the code.
  • You can't use your own code, and it doesn't stack with other discounts.
  • Each commission waits out a 30-day return window, then pays on the 1st of the following month. Refunded orders don't pay.
  • You get an email when you earn a commission and another when it's paid. Track everything on the Earnings tab of your dashboard.

How you get paid: Stripe Express. Payouts go through a free Stripe Express account that we create for you. Set it up once from the Earnings tab using the "Set up payouts" button. Don't go to stripe.com and don't sign up for a regular Stripe account, because we can't pay into one. To check your payouts later, sign in at connect.stripe.com/express_login with the phone number or email you used at setup. There's no password; Stripe texts you a code.

Section 4

Earning your StopBox

Complete all 8 goals in a month and you've earned a free StopBox mechanical safe — the same one we sell in the shop. We ship it out once your goals are verified. One per ambassador, no strings attached. Your welcome pack (a Harvest Tags 5-pack plus both ambassador tees) is separate — it's a thank-you for joining, not the StopBox.

Section 5

Your ambassador pricing

Active ambassadors buy StopBox gear at MAP — the lowest price StopBox allows anyone to sell at — with no minimum order. Buy one unit at a time if you want. It's always on and it doesn't expire.

  • MAP is a hard floor set by StopBox. We can't go below it for anyone, ambassadors included — that's dealer-agreement territory.
  • No case minimum, so you can grab a single unit whenever you need one.
  • Shipping is charged at the normal rate, same as any customer, since there's no case to offset freight.
  • Free shipping still kicks in on orders over $250, just like it does for everyone.
  • Applied automatically at checkout once you're logged in — no code to enter.
  • Prefer a full case? Apply as a Retail Partner below — same MAP cost, free freight, and you can mix and match products to fill the case.

Section 6

Recognition & perks

  • Verified Ambassador status — your name carries the badge across the community.
  • Ambassador of the Month — featured on the home page and in the magazine, with your photo and story.
  • Your published stories run with your byline, bio and social links, and they get real search traffic.
  • Free collectible artwork drop for active ambassadors.
  • Early access to new tools and apparel drops before they go public.
  • Quarterly gear giveaway — earn 40+ verified points in a quarter to be eligible; the winner takes premium gear ($50–150 value).
  • Elite Ambassador tier — hand-picked, and it unlocks the Social Kit and Shop Outreach tools (section 8).

Section 7

Test Mode & the Test Bench

New tools land in your hands before anybody else's. Anything marked Test Mode is live for ambassadors and admins only — you're the ones deciding whether it ships.

  • Field-test a Test Mode tool and file feedback on it and you earn 10 points — once per tool, per month.
  • Rate it 1–5 stars and tell us what broke, what was confusing, and what you'd change. Blunt is useful.
  • Your notes land on the Test Bench board in the Ambassador Lounge, where the whole program can read them and we reply in public.
  • Multi-person tools (crew location, shared zones, crew chat) need more than one account — invite your own test crew from your dashboard.
  • Test Crew: up to 6 friends or family, invited by email. They join free and get Test Mode access too, so you can actually test together.
  • Test points count toward your quarterly standing just like any other goal.

Section 8

Elite Ambassadors

Elite is a hand-picked tier — the ambassadors who become the name and face of BHH. You don't apply for it and there's no point total that unlocks it. We watch who shows up month after month, posts real field content, and brings people in.

  • Elite badge on your name across the community and on your published stories.
  • Social Kit — a monthly batch of ready-to-post ideas written for your state and your species, with hooks, captions, hashtags and on-brand images. Mark one posted and drop the link so we can share it.
  • Shop Outreach — a shop-finder that pulls real archery shops, gun shops, bait shops and processors near you, with a Partner program pitch for each one and a lead tracker. Shops you close carry your referral code on their counter QR.
  • First look at partner and wholesale accounts, and priority in Ambassador of the Month and magazine features.

Elite status is granted by the BHH team and can be paused like any other part of the program. Keep doing the work in section 1 — that's what gets you noticed.

Section 9

Your ambassador toolkit

Your dashboard is more than a checklist. These are yours the day you're approved, and they're not available to regular members.

  • Ambassador Lounge — a private national feed just for ambassadors and the BHH team. Ask questions, post field pics, see what's working for everyone else. Nobody outside the program can read it.
  • Streak — your run of consecutive months with at least one verified goal. Keep it lit; it's what we look at first when we pick Ambassador of the Month.
  • Referral card generator — makes a share card with your name, code and a scannable QR to your link, sized for Stories, feed posts, or 4x6 prints for shows and shop counters.
  • Monthly content pack — fresh captions, hashtags and an on-brand photo posted on the 1st, so you never have to think up something to post.
  • Printable hunt plan PDFs — any zone you save exports with its map, stands, routes and (for waterfowl) decoy spreads.
  • Quarterly standing card — live count of the verified points you've earned this quarter toward the gear giveaway.
  • Test Bench — the Test Mode tool list plus the feedback board in the Lounge, so you can see every note and our replies.
  • Test Crew invites — bring up to 6 people in to help you test the tools that need more than one account.

Everything above lives on your dashboard. If a card is missing, your approval is probably still processing.

Section 10

Bringing in local businesses

When you talk to a shop, guide, processor, club or marina, always lead with the Partner program. It's a free, two-way advertising trade, not a sales pitch. Don't pitch wholesale on its own.

  • Free ads that run across the site, live right away.
  • Their own partner page and a pin on the hunting and fishing map.
  • A guaranteed monthly blog feature and a digital magazine feature.
  • A listing on their state's Resources page.
  • In return they pick a few easy give-backs, like a member discount or a QR card at the register.

Wholesale pricing comes with it automatically. Once a business is an approved partner, they turn on wholesale themselves in their Partner Portal and can stock Harvest Tags and StopBox at case pricing, then resell at whatever price they choose.

Send shops your partner signup link from the Shop Outreach tab so they're credited to you. If a business you refer is approved as a partner, it's credited to you automatically.

Partner points (quarterly giveaway):

  • 3 points for a verified pitch. Log it in the Partners tab of your dashboard.
  • Proof: email the business with josh@buckeyehunterhub.com CC'd. If you used their website contact form, Facebook or another channel, attach a screenshot instead.
  • 6 points total when the business signs up through your partner link and is approved. That's 3 more on top of the pitch, not an extra 6.

This is a bonus goal. It doesn't count toward your monthly store credit goals.

Section 11

Content guidelines

  • Post legal, ethical, in-season hunting and fishing only — follow your state's regulations.
  • Be respectful in the community. Disagree about tactics all day; don't attack people.
  • Never share another member's zone, stand or spot locations without their permission.
  • Keep harvest photos tasteful — clean the animal up, respect the resource.
  • Your stories should be your own words and your own photos.

Section 12

Staying in good standing

There's no minimum you must hit to stay an ambassador — go quiet for a season and you're still in. We'll only pause an account for breaking the content guidelines, misrepresenting the platform, or claiming goals that weren't actually done.

Questions about anything in here? Message us from the Contact page — we answer ambassadors first.

Section 13

The Ambassador Agreement

Every ambassador accepts this when they apply. It's short and it's plain English: keep program information private, don't copy BHH to build something else, and don't use BHH to promote a competing platform.

  1. 1.

    Keep what's private, private

The Ambassador Lounge, unreleased tools and apparel, early-access features, member lists, sales and traffic numbers, supplier and pricing details, and anything marked internal are confidential. Don't share, screenshot, or repost them outside BHH, during the program or after you leave.

  2. 2.

    Don't copy the platform

You won't copy, scrape, export, or reproduce BHH's tools, features, designs, artwork, articles, data, or member content to build, seed, or improve any other hunting or fishing app, website, group, or business. Our work stays ours.

  3. 3.

No promoting competing platforms through BHH

While you're an ambassador and for 12 months after, you won't use BHH — the community, lounge, groups, messages, your ambassador status, referral tools, or the members you meet here — to promote, recruit for, or drive traffic to a competing hunting or fishing platform, app, or community.

  4. 4.

    Represent BHH honestly

Use your own words and photos, stay within the content guidelines, and don't claim to speak for BHH beyond your ambassador role. You may keep your own personal brand and social channels.

  5. 5.

    Ambassador content and artwork

Referral cards, content-pack images, ambassador shirts, and other program materials are for promoting BHH only. Stories you publish through BHH stay yours, and you give BHH permission to feature them on the platform, in the magazine, and on our social channels with your byline.

  6. 6.

    Standing and termination

Either side can end the ambassador relationship at any time. Breaking this agreement ends your ambassador status, unpaid credit, and pending rewards immediately. The confidentiality and no-copying commitments continue after you leave.
