StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO Review: A Dual-Security Solution

Quick Verdict

The StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO bundle is an excellent entry point for those looking to secure their firearms in multiple locations simultaneously. By offering a full-sized unit for home defense and a smaller, more portable unit for the vehicle or travel bag, this bundle hits the sweet spot between security and versatility. At the sale price of $169, you are getting significant value compared to buying these units individually.

Who It's For

This bundle is tailor-made for the hunter or firearm owner who prioritizes quick access without compromising on security. If you want a primary lockbox for your bedside and a secondary, low-profile box for your truck console or range bag, this is the most efficient way to achieve that setup.

Key Features & Build

The StopBox lineup is well-regarded for its mechanical design. The Pro/Compact BOGO set comes in a durable Black finish. Crucially, this bundle includes a free Security Cable, which adds a layer of theft deterrence by allowing you to anchor the boxes to a fixed object.

• StopBox Pro: Designed as a full-size solution for your home.
• StopBox Compact: Engineered for mobility in vehicles or luggage.
• Security Cable: Included for free to prevent grab-and-go theft.

Real-World Use

In the field and at home, accessibility is the primary concern for firearm storage. The mechanical, no-battery interface of the StopBox Pro/Compact series means it won't fail when you need it most. Having a full-size unit at home keeps your primary defensive tool ready, while the Compact unit fits perfectly in tight spaces like a vehicle glove box or under a seat. The included security cable is a necessary addition for any mobile storage, ensuring your box stays exactly where you put it.

Value for the Price

At an original price of $209, this bundle is already competitively priced, but at the current sale price of $169, it is an absolute steal. When you consider that a standalone StopBox Pro costs $149.99 and a Security Cable is $25, the BOGO deal essentially gives you the compact unit at a steep discount.

Comparison to the StopBox Lineup

• StopBox Pro: Best for individual home use.
• StopBox Pro Compact: The go-to for travelers and vehicle storage.
• StopBox Pro/Pro BOGO: Choose this if you need two full-sized units instead of one full and one compact.
• StopBox Pro Ward: Better suited for permanent wall-mounted installations.

Pros & Cons

Pros:

• Excellent price-to-value ratio with the current BOGO offer.
• Mechanical design eliminates the risk of dead batteries.
• Included security cable significantly improves portability.

Cons:

• Only available in Black.
• Compact unit is smaller, which may limit the types of firearms it can accommodate compared to the Pro.

Final Thoughts

If you have been waiting for the right time to secure your gear, the StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO is arguably the best deal in the Shop. It covers both your home and your travel needs in one purchase.
