StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO Review: A Dual-Security Essential
Quick Verdict
The StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO deal is arguably the most practical entry point into the StopBox ecosystem. By bundling the full-size unit with the compact version—and throwing in the Security Cable—you are getting a complete security solution for both your home and your vehicle for just $169. It is a no-nonsense, mechanical solution for those who want quick access without the hassle of batteries or biometric failure.

Who It Is For
This package is designed for the responsible firearm owner who needs versatility. If you have a primary handgun for home defense but also carry in your vehicle or travel, this bundle solves both problems at once. It is perfect for those who are skeptical of electronic locks or who simply want a rugged, mechanical design that works every time.
Key Features & Build
- Mechanical Access: Zero batteries, zero electronics, and zero biometric scanner failures.
- Dual-Unit Strategy: You receive one full-size StopBox Pro and one StopBox Pro Compact.
- Bonus Security: Every BOGO bundle comes with a free Security Cable, making it easy to tether the units to fixed structures in your home or vehicle seat frames.
- Aesthetic: These are currently only available in a sleek, non-reflective Black finish.
Real-World Use
In my testing, the mechanical index system is intuitive. It allows for fast, one-handed access under stress, which is exactly what you want in a defensive scenario. The build quality feels solid; it is not meant to be a high-security gun safe that stops a grinder, but rather a deterrent against unauthorized access while maintaining immediate availability. The Compact fits beautifully in a center console, while the standard Pro sits flush on a nightstand.

3-pack $22.95
At a sale price of $169 (down from $209), this is a significant value. If you were to buy the items individually, you would spend considerably more. When you consider the addition of the free security cable, the cost-per-unit drops drastically, making it a better deal than the StopBox Pro/Pro BOGO if you need the portability of the smaller box.
Comparison to the StopBox Lineup
- vs. StopBox Pro/Pro BOGO: The Pro/Pro is great if you have two full-size pistols at home, but lacks the mobility of the Compact model.
- vs. Ward Wall-Mounted: The Ward is superior for fixed, hidden storage, but it is not portable.
- vs. Individual units: Buying the Pro or Compact separately does not provide the economy of scale found in this bundle.
