Cutthroat Trout

Brown and Rainbow Trout
Available year-round in major rivers; prime dry fly action typically occurs from July through September. General creel limit is 6 fish, but only one may exceed 20 inches.
Walleye
Peak fishing occurs in late spring and early summer (May-June) in large reservoirs. Standard daily limit is 6 fish, though specific water regulations may vary.
Lake Trout (Mackinaw)
Best targeted in early spring or late fall in deep reservoirs like Flaming Gorge or Jackson Lake. Record-sized fish are often caught through the ice or during pre-spawn.
Smallmouth Bass
Most active during the summer months when water temperatures rise above 60 degrees. Found in Flaming Gorge, Keyhole, and parts of the North Platte system.
Kokanee Salmon
Found in specific reservoirs; fishing is most productive in early summer. Snagging seasons are strictly regulated and typically occur in the fall during the spawn.
