Texas-Rigged Worm

A plastic worm rigged weedless with a bullet weight and offset hook. Comes through grass, wood, and rock with ease.

Cast to high-percentage cover like laydowns, weed lines, or rocky points and allow the lure to hit the bottom. Use a slow, methodical approach, lifting your rod tip from three to twelve o'clock to hop the worm before letting it settle back to the substrate. Focus on keeping contact with the bottom to maximize the action of the soft plastic tail.

• Peg your bullet weight with a rubber bobber stop to keep the bait and weight together when punching thick vegetation.
• Always skin-hook the point of the hook back into the plastic to make it weedless when fishing through heavy brush.
• Pay close attention to your line during the initial descent, as most strikes occur while the lure is falling to the bottom.
• If bites are tentative, switch to a lighter bullet weight to give the lure a slower, more natural glide.
