StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO Review: The Ultimate Defense Combo
Quick Verdict
The StopBox Pro/Compact BOGO is arguably the most sensible purchase for someone looking to secure their home and vehicle simultaneously. By bundling the full-size unit with the compact version—and throwing in the Security Cable—you are essentially getting a complete quick-access security ecosystem for a discounted price of $169, down from the standard $209.
Who Is This For?
This bundle is tailor-made for the responsible firearm owner who values both security and speed. If you have a designated "home defense" location but also frequently transport your sidearm in a vehicle or travel bag, this pairing solves two problems at once. It’s for the hunter who needs to secure their gear while at the lodge and the everyday defender who wants a consistent, mechanical access system that doesn't rely on batteries or biometrics.
Key Features & Build
Both units in this bundle feature the signature StopBox mechanical locking system. They are constructed to be durable, reliable, and entirely independent of electronic failure points.
- Mechanical Access: Uses a four-button hand-operated lock that is intuitive under stress.
- No Batteries Required: Zero risk of dead batteries when you need access most.
- Full-Size & Compact: The Pro is designed for home storage, while the Compact version is sized for portability.
- Security Cable Included: The bundle includes a high-quality security cable, allowing you to anchor your boxes to fixed objects in your car or home.
- Color: Available in Black only.
Real-World Use
In practical application, the StopBox system shines because of its simplicity. Having the StopBox Pro at your bedside provides immediate access, while the StopBox Pro Compact fits unobtrusively into a center console or a range bag. The inclusion of the security cable is a game-changer for vehicle security, as it allows you to tether the box to your vehicle’s seat frame, preventing grab-and-go theft.

Value for the Price
At a sale price of $169, this bundle is a significant value. If you were to purchase a StopBox Pro ($149.99) and a StopBox Pro Compact ($129.99) separately, you would be paying much more. Adding the $25 Security Cable into the mix makes this one of the most cost-effective ways to upgrade your security posture across multiple locations.
How It Compares
Raise a safe, confident young hunter.
Guide your kids ages 5–17 through interactive hunting safety missions, real decision drills, and earned trophies — all from one free parent account.
The StopBox lineup is diverse. While the StopBox Pro/Pro BOGO is great if you need two full-sized units, the Pro/Compact pairing is more versatile for those who travel. For those needing permanent mounting, the StopBox Pro Ward | Wall-Mounted might be a better choice, but it lacks the portability provided in this specific bundle.
Pros & Cons
- Pros:
- Excellent value for two high-quality storage solutions.
- Mechanical lock is fast and reliable under stress.
- Security cable adds a layer of theft deterrence.
- No electronic failure points (batteries/biometrics).
- Cons:
- Only available in Black.
- Requires practice to master the mechanical sequence under pressure.
