Quick Verdict
When you invest in a quick-access safe like the StopBox, security is the top priority. The Security Cable is a simple, no-nonsense accessory designed to tether your unit to a fixed object. Who Is It For?
This cable is for the gun owner who values physical security without wanting to permanently bolt their safe to a wall or floor. It is perfect for:
- Apartment renters who cannot drill holes.
- Travelers needing to secure their box in a hotel or vehicle.
- Users who want an extra layer of deterrence beyond just the internal locking mechanism.
Key Features & Build
The StopBox Security Cable is constructed from heavy-duty steel. It is designed specifically to anchor your StopBox to a fixed object, making it significantly harder for an intruder to grab and go with your gear. It integrates seamlessly with the design of the main units, ensuring you don't lose the quick-access functionality that makes the StopBox platform so appealing.
Real-World Use
In our testing at Buckeye Hunter Hub, we found the setup process to be intuitive. It slides easily into place, providing a reliable anchor point. It’s a passive security measure—once it’s locked to a solid frame or heavy piece of furniture, you can rest easier knowing your box isn't going anywhere. It’s low-profile enough that it doesn't clutter your setup, yet robust enough to serve its primary purpose as a theft deterrent.

3-pack $22.95
At the regular price of $35, it’s a fair deal. However, at the current $28 sale price, it is an easy "add-to-cart" decision. Keep in mind, this item is also listed as a "FREE with purchase" badge on some configurations, so check your options carefully before buying. Compared to the cost of replacing your defensive gear, this $28 investment is negligible.
Comparison to the StopBox Lineup
If you are building out your system, consider where this fits. You might look at the StopBox Motion Activated Light for visibility, or if you need to carry extra rounds, the StopBox Universal Mag Carrier. While the StopBox Pro Ward Wall-Mounted offers permanent mounting, the cable is your best friend if you need versatility. It complements units like the StopBox Pro Compact or the StopBox U-Can perfectly.

Pros & Cons
- Pros: Heavy-duty steel construction, easy installation, affordable during current sales, increases theft deterrence.
- Cons: Requires a nearby fixed object to be effective.
Final Thoughts
Don't leave your security box vulnerable to theft. The Security Cable is an affordable, durable solution that every StopBox owner should consider.
