Species & Seasons
Striped Bass
Season typically peaks May through October; current regulations allow a 1-fish daily limit within a 28-inch to less than 31-inch slot limit.
Largemouth & Smallmouth Bass
Year-round season with a 5-fish daily limit and 12-inch minimum length; catch-and-release only is encouraged from March to May.
Trout (Brook, Brown, Rainbow)
Year-round season in most waters, heavily supported by spring and fall stocking programs; daily limits vary by water body (typically 3 fish in lakes).
Black Sea Bass
Saltwater season generally runs mid-May through early September; requires a 16.5-inch minimum size and a 4-fish daily limit.
Northern Pike
Open year-round with a 1-fish daily limit and a 28-inch minimum length; best fished through the ice in winter.
Bluefish
Coastal season peaks in summer and fall; no minimum size requirement but limited to a 3-fish daily bag limit.
